The CWU series has had a major influence on modern military models. Based on the CWU-45P model, an early 1973 A-type with an inner pocket, this model was reproduced as the 55P model, which was developed by SPIEWAK as a civilian product at the time, using TITAN CLOTH, a cotton-nylon material.
